ABSTRACT
The general objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of innovative strategies for
improving English pronunciation in students, considering their impact on the development of
communicative skills and on their confidence in oral expression. To achieve this objective, a
mixed-methods approach was used, with a descriptive-correlational and cross-sectional design,
which allowed for the collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data. Theoretical
methods such as analysis-synthesis, inductive-deductive reasoning, and a systems approach
were employed, while the techniques of scientific observation, student surveys, teacher
interviews, and diagnostic pronunciation tests were applied. These methods facilitated the
identification of the main phonetic difficulties and the evaluation of the applied strategies. The
most relevant results showed that the implementation of innovative strategies, such as the use of
technological resources, play-based activities, guided phonetics practice, collaborative learning,
and contextualized repetition exercises, significantly contributed to improved pronunciation,
especially in the articulation of vowel and consonant sounds specific to the English language.
Furthermore, an increase in oral participation and student confidence during class was observed.
In conclusion, the study demonstrates that the application of innovative strategies is a key element
in strengthening English pronunciation, as it fosters more dynamic, engaging, meaningful, and
student-centered learning. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers systematically incorporate
active methodologies and innovative teaching resources.
