El presente artículo científico analiza la importancia del desarrollo de habilidades acuáticas en el Guardiamarina como componente esencial de su formación para Oficial de Marina. Se exploran las dimensiones que sustentan esta necesidad, desde el dominio del entorno marítimo hasta la supervivencia en el mismo, pasando por la ejecución de operaciones navales, el liderazgo y trabajo en equipo, la condición física y la disciplina, la confianza y autosuperación, y la versatilidad profesional. Se concluye que las habilidades acuáticas no solo son un complemento, sino una piedra angular en la formación del Oficial de Marina, preparándolo para enfrentar con éxito los retos que le esperan en su carrera naval, el desarrollo de habilidades acuáticas es fundamental en la formación de un guardiamarina, no solo por su relevancia en el ámbito operativo, sino también por los beneficios físicos y mentales que proporciona. Este artículo explora la importancia de estas habilidades en la preparación de los futuros Oficiales de Marina, destacando su impacto en la seguridad, la eficiencia operativa y el bienestar integral del personal naval.

ABSTRACT
The present scientific article analyzes the importance of developing aquatic skills in Midshipmen as an essential component of their training to become Naval Officers. It explores the dimensions that support this need, from mastering the maritime environment to surviving in it, including the execution of naval operations, leadership and teamwork, physical fitness and discipline, confidence and self-improvement, and professional versatility. It concludes that aquatic skills are not just a complement but a cornerstone in the formation of Naval Officers, preparing them to successfully face the challenges awaiting them in their naval careers. The development of aquatic skills is fundamental in the training of a midshipman, not only due to its relevance in the operational field but also because of the physical and mental benefits it provides. This article explores the importance of these skills in preparing future Naval Officers, highlighting their impact on safety, operational efficiency, and the overall well-being of naval personnel.
