Comparison of public policies in territorial order and pollution of natural water sources between Latin America and Asia

Abstract

Introduction. The application of public policies in land use planning and pollution represent a continuous analysis and review regarding the proper environmental management of water sources in Latin America and Asia. Both regions affected by serious environmental problems caused by climate change and the growing demand for water that generate even more pressure on water resources, due to the importance that water has in the economic context, mainly political, and social. Objective. Contrast the public policies of both regions in the approach to territorial planning and contamination of water sources in Latin America and Asia. Methodology. The investigation is documentary. Results. The failure of public policies in territorial ordering and contamination of the countries is clearly seen in the management of natural resources. Especially natural water sources, whose importance resides in most human and environmental activities, as well as the increase in their scarcity, is increasingly compromised with the increase in demands for public supply and irrigation, which It has mainly caused its exhaustion. Conclusion. Within the conclusions it is stated that, despite the fact that the environmental situation of the water sources in both regions is diverse and complex, the way in which public policies are managed in land use planning and pollution require the application of community water resource management models. that allow local problems to be addressed from a more objective and inclusive point of view with those responsible for and affected by the inefficient internal management of the countries regarding water sources.
