Abstract

Entrepreneurship combines very diverse variables ranging from the attitude (entrepreneurial attitude) to the structural (entrepreneurial ecosystem) and should be differentiated from entrepreneurship, although its evolution indicates that from the beginning has had an economic and business connotation. The scenarios associated with the entrepreneurship of SMEs in Ecuador require increasingly competitive models to achieve optimal levels of profitability. At the forefront of the enterprises must be people capable of taking on challenges and challenges that contribute to the development and success of the company, which must become true strategists. This difference should be taken into account especially in aspects such as training, as it provides a greater possibility of exploitation entrepreneurship of people and a different orientation to the economic and business. In this order of ideas, the role of the leader in entrepreneurship is very important and therefore strategies must be generated to promote it. In the present field study, under a descriptive, non-experimental design, where an intentional sample of 25 PYMES entrepreneurs leaders was employed in Ecuador, the following conclusions were reached: a) It is necessary to develop a strategy to train the leaders of the enterprises of SMEs in Ecuador; b) The strategy must generate actions and activities to strengthen the motivational, behavioral, intellectual and work capacity areas; c) Propose the evaluation of strategy through effectiveness indicators.
