Strategic management of human talent: A fundamental pillar in health institutions in Ambato, Ecuador

This study aimed to analyze the importance of strategic talent management in health institutions in Ambato, Ecuador. Using a document analysis methodology, reports, records, and human resource management policies from various health organizations in the region were reviewed. The findings showed that effective strategic management of human resources is for improving efficiency, quality, and outcomes in the health sector. Institutions that adopted strategic approaches in managing their human talent demonstrated better performance indicators, higher patient satisfaction, and greater staff well-being. In conclusion, to face current and future challenges in the health sector in Ambato, it is essential to implement and strengthen strategic management practices in human resources. These results highlight the need for strategic direction that promotes continuous training, innovation, and talent retention, fundamental elements for the success and sustainability of health institutions in the region.
