Abstract

Today, efforts to understand the relationship between the practice of values and discipline in the Educational field have produced some significant changes, however, these changes are isolated and limited in scope. In this sense, Educators need new theories and tools to demand reforms in the educational system. Otherwise, harsh discipline will remain the dominant paradigm for the foreseeable future and efforts to improve educational quality and achievement, the most pressing issue on the current national agenda, will remain insufficient. While some scholars have proposed limits to disciplinary policies. In this sense, this article proposes an analysis of the practice of values and its impact on the school discipline of the students of the Aníbal San Andrés school of the Mapasingue site of the Colón parish of the Portoviejo Canton.
